Analisis Risiko Ergonomis dan Musculosceletal Disorder (MsDs) dengan Metode Nordic Body Map (NBP) pada Pekerja Konveksi

Abstract

The musculoskeletal system plays a crucial role in converting chemical energy into mechanical energy to generate movement. Disorders in this system can disrupt this process, leading to impaired mobility and coordination. Improper posture can exacerbate this condition. Objective. To identify the body parts most susceptible to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among garment workers and to analyze the associated risk factors. Methods. This study employed a descriptive method with a sample of 30 garment workers selected using purposive sampling. Results. This study revealed that garment workers experienced significant pain in 9 body parts, particularly in the waist, neck, and legs. Additionally, half of the respondents had a higher risk of health problems due to excess weight, which could exacerbate their health conditions. Conclusion. New garment workers (< 5 years) have a relatively low risk of musculoskeletal disorders, but this condition is temporary. To prevent more serious health problems in the future, it is essential for garment workers to always apply ergonomic principles at work. This allows garment workers to maintain their health and productivity in the long term.
